Welcome to my blog about how birds are the best pet to own and care for! The “best pet” argument is obviously subjective, but I am also always correct! I love birds a lot and have had them since I was 12, and they’re like the children I don’t plan on having, so please keep reading if you want to learn meaningful pet bird insights.
There’s a bird out there for everybody.
Birds are extremely versatile pets, in both breeds, and individual personalities. I had only ever had budgies, and each of them had such distinct personality traits that made them all very unique! I had a few introverted and quiet birds, but also a bird who I literally did not have to hand tame because she was extremely extroverted and outgoing.
If you consider yourself to be a more easygoing person for example, I would suggest a friendly and gentle budgie, or a sweet cockatiel, these guys are so kind and loving, and are just happy with the company from the humans around them. Why wouldn’t you want a little flying friend to hang out with all the time?
They’re more intelligent than you think.
I think we are all way too calm about the fact that these little guys can talk. Obviously, they aren’t knowingly learning human languages, but the fact they can perfectly mimic human speech is insane enough. They can also quickly learn patterns, they love to solve puzzles and play games, and are seemingly eager to learn new tricks!
Birds also form deep connections with both their owners and parrot partners, which isn’t rare for any specific animal, but is still worth mentioning.
Birds are absolutely gorgeous.
If I’m being honest, I am just extremely jealous that birds can be naturally colourful, while I have to spend hundreds on hair dye and bleach. Other than that, it’s hard not to admire their abstract colours and unique feather patterns.
Now I hope you’re considering adopting a bird after reading this.
If it was possible, I would adopt them all, seriously.
